London Wool Sales.
Messrs Dalaety and Company, Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable from their London office, dated 20thinstant:—
Wool sales closed dull. Good merino wools, greasy, prices are on the average 6 per cent higher than closing rates of last series. Inferior, faulty and earthy wools, greasy, prices are lower by to 10 per cent. Scoured inferior and faulty wools, 15 to 20 per cent lower. Fine and medium crossbred greasy wools, lower by 5 per cent. Coarse crossbreds, prices are on the average at par to 5 per cent lower than closing fates of last series. Sliped scoured crossbred wools, lower by 10 to 15 per cent. The total number of bales available, including old stocks, were 118,000. Out of the net quantity available for sale, some 59,000 bales have been sold icrr Home consumption, 36,000,ba1es for the Continent, 4000 bales for America, leaving 19,000 bales to be carried .forward to the next series.
