CHRISTCHURCH, July 23. The results of the first night of the Canterbury Boxing Association's championship meeting were as follows :— Bantams—A. Waiker (Christchurch) beat W. Campbell (Dunedin). Feather-weight —A. Treside (Ashbur*ton) beat S. Jarman (Christchurch), J. T. Johnston (Dunedin) beat J. Barnett {Lyttelton), N. Gould (Timaru), beat N. Reid (Christchurch). Light-weights —S. Thomas (Palmerston North) beat G. Martin (Christchurch), R. Mazey (Christchurch) beat C. Wright (Christchurch). In this contest R. C. Ross (Dunedin) had to scratch owing to influenza. Middle-weight—J. R. Cos (America) beat J. Shaw (Christchurch), A. Nash (Oamaru) beat J. Brennard (Timaru), P. W. Olliver (Christchurch) beat C. H. Findlay Christchurch). Heavy-weight—D. Mahoney (Christchurch) beat W. Bowden (Lyttelton).
