The Railway Accident.
Traiii Wrecking Feared. (Per Press Association). WANGANUI, This day. There are unpleasant rumors afloat re I the railway accident at Momohaki on Friday morning. There i 3 a strong suspicion that the points had been tampered with. It is stated that the Railway officials discovered the points padlock unlocked and removed, and a smali stone was placed between the points to keep them partly open. A portion of the padlock was found on the ground near the rails. The lock could only have been removed by a special railway key. The police are investigating the matter.
