The "Blunder" House.
(To the Editor)
Sir, —Your Saturday night's issue brought forth more discussion about our new " Opera House." Mr Hurley seems to think that the building is a credit to himself and all concerned in the erection of same, and therefore quite good enough for the people of Palmerston North. His remarks re the pit are really clever. "If a person took the precaution to get there early and secure a good seat he would be alright.": Are we to understand that only one person is to be allowed in the Opera House during a performance, oris everybody to go early and secure that " good seat ?" Of course we all know that our present Mayor does his best, but even a mouse does that when it is destroying one's stock. If Mr Hurley and the Opera House Committee will remember that " a stitch in time saves nine " all may yet be well.— I am, etc.,
