A terrific dust storm caused the .use of artificial light at mid-day. However, a fine rain is falling, this being the best fall since July.

PERTH, This day.

The Oroya experienced a terrific gale on her voyage from Adelaide across the Bight. Two winches were carried away completely. Two of the crew were badly injured. The damage to the cargo and vessel is estimated at .£12,000. The cargo injured was chiefly tobacco.
