AUCKLAND Oct. 20.

At the Hospital Commission to-day the. most important evidence was that of Dr Savage; surgeon, who examined the exhumed remains of Wallis White last month under directions from the Government. His evidence was m conflict m several particulars with the report furnished on the same subject by Dr Bedford to the Hospital Board. Dr Savage, explained, however, that Dr Bedford had not the same opportunities of making a minute examination as him* self. ■'•'... . . ' ' . . ' .-■

Dr Savage expressed dissent from the method of the operation followed in White's case, but said that the error made in the diag. nosis, • was one often made by expert surgeons.
