The Bank of Australasia's balance sheet shows:—Deposits £14.662 000, cash and securities £4,000 000, discounts and advances £14,750,000. Copper.—Spot, three months, 66*. Tin.-Spot, 126; three months, 12o|Wheat.- 11.000 quarters of South Australian March shipment sold at 31s 3d.

Wool.—The sales included Glens.dc, '82-d; Moura, B£d; Matwelton, 204 d.' At the fallow sales 625 casks were offered and 412 sold. Prices were unchanged (Eeceived March 17, at 11.42 a.m.) London, March 16. At the wool sales there was a splendid selection and competition was brisk. Prices were tirm for'all sorts Wheat—The. American visible supply is estimated at 53,584,000 bushels.

The wool sales in London hive come up to expectations, foe coa.aa wool has witnessed a f.ir bdvanc?. Inferior wool holds tho beit po-ition possibly bee .use of its relative cheapness and therefore of its ut lit-y for manipulation into sh ddy and the lower grades of fabrics. Perhaps had there been no disturbance in the Far Eass a more buoyant market may have been experienced; still growers hero ha^e no cause for c-unpl.'nt. The next *<n*ies begin on the 3rd May, when the offerings of new wool will be limited to 80.0C0 bates. It is most likely that there will be a slight set back in values then, becauFo of the European clip being availablo.—Post.
