Sale of Work.
As will be seen by advertisement;, the sale oi" work under the auspices of the Ladies' Association of th;o Emmanuel Congregational Church will tahe place on Oct. 28, 29, and yoth, and promises to be a very successful function. The ladies have been working for some months with the greatest zeal and are detci mined to. eclipse all previous efforts that have been made to reduce the debt on> the church building.
One gratifying feature in connection with the function' is the active interest and hearty co-operation of the young people of the congregation, every one of whom are doing their level best to make the sale an unqualified success.
Working under such happy conditions and with such bright prospects the management haA re been induced to make the sale a three days' one.
The goods that arc to be ,disposed of are all of a useful kind and at the prices marked should command a ready sale and give satisfaction to the buyers. The numerous side shows will afford much, amusement and nltogether the sale will be well worth visiting. His Worship the Mayor will open the proceedings on Wednesday evening. Oct. 28th, at- 7 p.m.
