FATAL GUN ACCIDENT.
A MAN SHOT THROUGH THE
HEART.
A tragic fatal accident occurred at Ohiu-iu Eshortly after four o'clock yesterday afternoon, Robert 11. Needhmn, an expressman- well-known in Wellington, was out rabbit-shooting, accompanied by his wifo and a lad named Willie Anderson, eighteen years of nge. The country is very rough in tho vicinity. Andersen and Needham went down to cros3 a creek the banks of which were precipitous. The former stood in tho middle of tho stveam and called to Needham to hand him his gun. This Needhmn proceeded to do. He gripped the weapon by tho muzzlo, and was loaning over to give it to his companion, the trigger; caught in the branches of of a tree, and the gnn discharged, a chargo of shot striking Needham right over tho heart. Cryina " I'm done for !' the unfortunate man fell back nnil expired immediately. His wife, from the adjoining hillsido, witnessed the terrible occurrence. Constable Hutton was coramunica'.etl with, and visited tho scene of the accident. He is convinced that tbo affair was quite accidental. Tho docoasod, who was a.young man, loaves a family of young children.
