We watched for a few minutes, aud then we goc nearer to them. One follow rushed up to me and catching mo by the shoulder said : ' What tha dickens do tha K.L.H. mean on your shoulder strap '?' I replied : ' It means Kimberley Light Horse. Who are you '>' His answer was : ' I am one of the New Zealanders.' We shook hands, and hs and his > comrades then joined us in chasing the 'flyers' for a time. We learned from him tbe joyful news that French was in Kimberley, and that we had been re lieved."
