THE STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams report I as follows :— j Sales this week have been held at j Palmerston on Thursday and Pohangina on Tuesday. At Pohangina the cattle yards were I well filled and about 1000 sheep came forward. Outside value was asked for the wethers and they were consequently passed out unsold; most of the other lines were cleared at ruling rates. At Palmerston we had an average entry ot stock and a good attendance. The bidding for cattle was not as brisk as last week, although some nice lines of good conditioned s'eers were offered ; these were passed in at 5/7/6 and eventually sold at 5/10/-.
