RONGOTEA.
(Ow? Own Correspondent). A farewell social was given to Mr WooJlaxall, Home Missionary in the Primitive Church, on Monday evening. The church was crowded with wellwishers and friends of Mr Woollaxall, and all of the speakers spoke in high terms o! the good work done by that gentleman and wished him every success in his new sphere of labours. Speeches were delivered by Eevs. Jones and Woollaxall, and Messrs Arnold and Gibson.
The choir rendered several items during the evening. Solos were sung by Misses Eevell and Buckman, and a violin duet was played by Misses O. and A. Buckman.
Mr Tobeck, on behalf of the choir, presented Miss Broadbelt with a handsome biscuit barrel and a fruit dish. This was giyen as a wedding present, as Miss Broadbelt is to be married next week.
Mr Gibson suitably responded on be half of Miss Broadbelt.
Coffee and refreshments were dispensed by the ladies of the congregation, and the social terminated after singing, " God be with you till we meet again."
