KIMBERLEY RELIEVED.

The gratifying news of the relief of Kimberley by Major-General French's column, [which includes the New Zealanders, created a feeling of enthusiasm throughout the district this morning, as the gallant defence of that place has placed it only second to Ladysmith. Lord Roberts is to be congratulated upon the success of his operations so far, and a feeling of hopefulness has been engendered by the rapidity with which he has turned the position in the west.
