CLEARING SALE.
i Messrs Dalgety and Co, report having held, on - account of Mr J. Lory, Wedderburn (who has sold his farm), a clearing sale of stock and implements on Monday, 7th . inst. There was a large attendance of buyers -from Dunedin, Taieri, and the surrounding, districts. Competition was exceedingly keen throughout, and a most satisfactory sale resulted. The following are the prices realised: One 4yr-old mare, £34; one 7yr-old mare, £33; others, from £24 to £29; one 2yrold filly, £24; one yearling colt, £10; 2yr-old filly, £2O; unbroken hacks, £7 15s to £l2; cows realised from £8 to £9 15s. The implements and sundries, of which there wa3 a numerous 'collection, brought full market rates. One Cambridge roller, £l6 ss; M.-H. drill, £3l 10s; M.-H. binder, £3l 10s.
