L The following business of local interest was transacted week's meeting of the board:— -- SS^I *|Ranger Atkinson forwarded a report unon the '*application of Ida Ann Paterson for a reduction in rent on lier miscellaneous license over section 11, block XL, Maniototu district. — Application declined. reported upon the application of James Baird, James M'Kay, and Lawrence Matbewson, lessees respectively of sections: 14, 15, and 16, block VII., Swinbum district, for assistance in forming protective works along the Kyeburn river. Witton Glendinning to John Ross Peterson and John Peteraon; leaso-in-perpetuifcy 70, section 12, block VII., Girnmerburn Lory to Jease Mace Maisey Crutchley; small grazing run 4071, ' run 225c f —James Lory to Jesse Mace Maisey Crutchley; miscellaneous license 1953, section 14, block VII., Gimmerburn district— James Lory to Jesse Mace Maisey Crutchley; miscellaneous license 617, section 18, block VII., Gimmerburn district—Jacob Henry Lory to Jesse Mac 3 Maisey Crutchley. Consideration was given to the appl Cition of C. E. JJavey, en behalf of Dr Geo. Byres, for permission to purchase an area of about 7 acres on Waipiata-Hamilton's road, between section. 18,- block 1., Rock and Pillar district, and sections 19 and 20, same block. Portion of road to be closed and sold to applicant at value of £1 per acre.
