* _ A meeting of the Selection Committee of he above church was held on Wednesday last, the moderator, Rev. A. Watson (Alexandra) presiding. Present-Messrs H Lunan Lower Kyeburn), W, J. M'Cready (Kveburn Diggings), A. Cleugh and W. Davi. (Gimmerbnrn), J. Forrester and 4' W Roberts (Ranfuriy), T. Stephens, 'j. R. Kirk and H. vv,] 6on (Naseby) The moderator crave an account of hi. efforts in inducing candidates to come for" ward to till the vacant charge The committee unanimously recommended Mr A, bcandage as, in their opinion the most suitable candidate to fill the vacancy. (The candidates are the Rev Mr Standag, and the Rev Mr Evans). " U "(J» It was also resolved that a vote be taken of all members and adherents of the congregations at Naseby Ranfuriy, Gimmerburn and Upper and Lower Kyeburn in the selection of a minister to fill the vacant charge ; that the papers be forwarded lk members of the Selection Committee forV distribution in their respective districts on .Saturday, 14th mat., and that they be re turnable to members of committee on Sat urday, 21st , that adherents of the a<r e of 16 years and upwards be entitled to° vote • that Messrs J. P Malcolm. Ernest Smith , and the moderator act as scrutineers and disclose the result of the voting at a meeting ot the congregation at Naseby on Mondav eveniuu; the 23rd instant. J A form of voting paper was drawn up and approved. v u A meeting of the congregation was held the same evening to confer with the delegates appointed by the Dunedin PresbyterV in respect to adjusting the boundaries of the parish. The Dunedin Fresbvtery was represented by the Revs Chishoim and Todd and the Dansuin Presbytery by the Rev A. Watson (Alexandra), There was a fair attendance. After stating that the business of the-wmimission was to acquire information as to the feelings of the congregation re spectiiig the inclusion of Lower Kyeburn in the 1 atearoa charge, it was ultimately agreed to leave the matter altogether with the members aud adherents of tha district concerned: The decision of the Selection Committee (as stated above) was also announced-
