This year Naseby is called upon for a special effort, one to eclipse all previous attempts at packing ihe Town Hall, A beautiful new organ, costing twt-n'y pounds, has been bought for tb.i> school and the scholars and teachers want to raise the funds by their own efforts. To do this the hall must be literally crammed. The children are making a magnificent effort to get their parts ready, and though the programme drawn up for them might well tax thepowersof the biggest school in the Dominion, the hundred odd Naseby boys and girls arc detemined to show what they can do. In the first pirt of the entertainment the burrlen wili fall npoo the juve nile darkies who will, with their jsongs, dances and conundrums, provide the comic element. The se ond part wi 1 consist of concert items—olos, quartettes and action songs by children and adults,' an.l here again a good proportion of the items will be humorous. The last part will be an operetta called "Soot and the Fairies" by an Australian Composer who has in this operetta produced something musical, bright, happy and- laughable.
