LAND SALES.

Wright, Stephenson ai?d Co, Ltd., report having recently effected the following sales of station and farm properties in Otago and Southland :

On account of Mr Samuel Henry, Brans Flat, his well known " Bellamy" station near Lawrence, comprising about 3000 acres of freehold and 28,000 acres of leasehold, to Mr John Mundell, Timaru, who also pur chased all the stock on the station comprising 10,000 sheep, horses, cattle and station plant, On account of Mr W M Hailes, Balfour, his Ardlussa and Cattle Flat properties com prising 11,240 acres freehold and 6000 acres leasehold, nleo 5000 sheep and horses, cattle, &o, depasturing thereon, to Messrs Donald M'Donald, Idendale, and T L Barn hill, Cast'erock. On account of Messrs J M and D A M'Kenzie, of Palmerston, their Bushey Park Estate, comprising 2260 aeresbf freehold and 86 acres of leasehold, being all first class agricultural and fattening land, with splen did hometcad and grounds. This is one of the finest estates in Otngo, and the buyer, Mr Roderick M'Kenzie, late of Birchwood Estate, Southland, is to be congratulated on acquiring such a splendid property. Mr M'Kenzie also took over at valuation about 4000 sheep, mostly breeding ewes with lambs. On account of Mr James Meehan, Makikihi. his Waimea Homestead Estate, comprising 4973 acres of first-class flat, clean agricultural land to Mr F. V'allis, Gore. On account of Mr F. Wallis, Gore, the Homestead block of the Waimea Estate, comprising 1040 acres, to Mr James Butler, Balfour. On account of Air John Wither, Dunedin, his fine freehold property known as Meadowhank Estate, situated near Palmerston and containing about 4318 acres, to the New Zealand Government for closer settlement. On account of Mr John Edie, Edievale, his splendid agricultural and pastoral property situated in the Crookston district, and containing 3500 acres freehold, to Mr William Palmer, Merino Downs On account of the Kxors. in the Estate of the late Mr Jas, M'Leati, Waikaia, his Riiutekum station in the Lake Wakitipu district containing 930 acres freehold and about 33,1)00 acres leasehold loectlicr with all the slock thereon, to Mr 1). A. M'Lean, Kinloch. On account of Mr Daniel Clarke of Waipani, his freehold farm of 1430 acres close to the Waipuhi railway station, to Mr A J Webb of Timaru, who also purchased 1800 crossbred sheep, 40 hea I of cattle, 30 horses, &c on the property. On account of Mr Pied Wallis, lore, Lot 2 on plan of Waimea Estate comprising 1068 acres, to Mr Roht. Butel, Balfour, Lots 4 and 5 comprising 440 acres, to Mr Edward Butler, Kivcrsdiile ; Lots 1, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 comprising 2120 acre, to Mr Andrew Small, Lumsden. , On account of Mr John M'Rae of Tarras, his fine property containing 755 acres freehold and 2145 acres lease in perpetuity—all first-class fattening land, to Mr R K Smith, pi Tarras. / On account of Mr John Crowe, Rannock, Hjrawia, his freehold property known as Sharpridge containing approximately 1652 acres, being sections 70/76 and 86,87 in Waiau Surv«y District, to Mr A. W. Roger, jnn.. of Birchwood Estate. On account of MrT H Woolley, MoaFlat, his freehold farm of 872 acres, boi»g Lot 18 on the map of Moa Flat Estate, to Mr Donald M'Donald of Edendale. On account of Messrs Sutherland J.Bros of Lumsden, their freehold property near Holmedale comprising 980 acres of splendid land, originally part of the Castleroc Estate, to Mr A P Cowie of Balfour. On accoont of Mr Geo Cater, Balfour, bis freehold farm of 680 acres, being section 10 Block 11, Black Swamp, to Mr W M Hailes, Balfour. On account or Mr Thomas Kain, Waikaia, his freehold property comprising 1835 acres and being sections 520, 417, 416. 72 and 9, Hokonui Surrey District, to Mr Martin O'Shea, Balfour. On account of Mr Wm Wells, Moa Flat, his freehold farm of 665 acres being Lot 25 on the plan of Moa Flat, together with 700 young crossbred ewf.s, to a Moa Flat farmer. On account of Mr A P Cowie, Balfour, his freehold farm known as Hampton comprising 680 acres of first-class land, to Mr Malcolm M'Donald, Balfour. On account of Mr James M'Kinnon, Tussock Creek, his property containing 157 acres 3 roods freehold land, being sections 55 and 56 Block VIII New River Hundred, also the goodwill in perpetual lease of 80 acres, being section 54 of the same block, to Mr Duncan M'Kinnon of Tussock Creek. On account of Mr Thomas Gordon of Wairio, bis freehold farm of 442 acres being sections 183 and 181 Wairio Survey District, to a Southern client. On account of Mr Robert Cleave, Invercargill, the balance of his Bay Road property consisting of approximately 54 acres of freehold land comprised in sections 8 and 9 on the Plan of the above Estate to Mr John Grant of VVallacetown.
