Mines Department, Wellington. 13th May, 1592. - Sir, —In reply to your loiter of 7th April last, I am directed to intbrm you that the question of survey fees having been brought under.consideration, it is found.that the fees at prestut ch.irged for mining surveys about balance the acuoUDt for] the whole colony.
