CITY MISSION CAMP.
AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT. Miss (Solomon, ivho Avas in charge of the Wellington City Mission Gii-ls’ Camp held in Foxton recently, Avrites as follows: — “This is the third time that the above camp has been held at Foxton racecourse —and Foxton noAV holds for us happy memories of a joyous ten days in the country,. made possible for us, very largely, by the kindness and courtesy of the Foxton people. We do Avant to thank those people for all they have done for us, this and other years. If we started to give a list of names, avc should never be finished, so 1 numerous are they. But we do appreciate it all and every camper joins in a big Thank You! “This year the camp ivas quite the best we have had. We had our ups and doAvns, of course. We have tried each year to leave a. good name behind us—rand Avhere and Avhen Ave have failed, we Avould ask that it may be remembered that our girls are town girls Avho have to face the battle of life very early in their lives, which fact makes them perhaps sharp, sometimes rough, in their ways. But, underneath that there is fine material. Individually they are very dear to us —tho’ collectively they are often difficult- to handle.
“And so, again, we Avould thank you from the very depths of our hearts and ivish you one and all a very happy and blessed 1936.”
