MOTOR SMASH IN CHRISTCHURCH.

FIVE PEOPLE INJURED. •; Christchurch, November 13. Five persons were injured, one of them gravely and two others seriously, when a motor car crashed into a tramway, pole in Moorhouse Avenue to-night. Those in the car were:— Mrs Margaret Mary Harrall, aged 44 years, licensee of the Royal George Hotel and a well-known owner of trotting horses. —Injuries to legs and fractured wrist. Thomas Harrall, husband of Mrs Harrall, working at the Royal George Hotel. —Injuries to head. Ernest Schofield, aged 30 years, of Hope, Nelson, married. —Injuries to back and suspected fracture of the spine. George Unkovich, aged 42 years, traveller of Hokitika—Fractured ribs and face injuries; J. Donaldson, believed to be a single man, of Westport. —Slight head injuries and concussion. f: No one saw the accident clearly and the victims are unable to give an account of it.
