FOXTON BASKETBALL CLUB.
The members of the Foxton Basketball Club held a very successful dance in the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening. There was a good attendance and the function proved to be both a-financial and social success.
Music was supplied by the Melody Boys Orchestra, from Levin. Novelty dances were won by the following: Miss M. Hakaria and Mr G. Moynihan (Monte Cai'lo); Miss R. Hofmann and Mr 1 L. Wilson (mystery train); Miss M. Hakaria and Mr K. Robinson (gay gordons). Mr Whitlow carried out the duties of M.iC. in an efficient manner.
A pleasing little function took place behind the scenes after supper, when Mrs Mounsey, who has always given her services freely to anything in connection with the basketball was made the recipient of a small token of gratitude by Mrs M. A. Ross, on behalf of the basketball teams.
