REFUSAL OF COMMUNION
WOMEN WITH LIP-STICK. London, May 13. A clergyman has no legal right to refuse communion to a “fipsticlked” woman, the Diocesan Law Officer informed the “Daily Mail.” Anglicans are permitted to ■withhold the sacrament only if the communicant does not kneel without good cause, refuses to attend public prayer, or is the “notorious depraver” of the Prayer Book or an evil liver. Refusal under other circumstances offends ecclesiastical law and is liable to heavy punishment.. <i;
