PERSONAL.
Mrs A. H. Hornblow, who has been spending a holiday in Foxton, returned to Wellington yesterday. The man-iage took place at Wellington on Tuesday of Wing-Com-mander T. M. Wilkes, Director of Air Services. His bride, was formerly Mil's Gladys Hodges. Mr G. G. Kelly, of Auckland, has been appointed arms advisory officer to the Police Department, with headquarters in Wellington, and will take up his duties on June 1.
The successful Auckland lightweight horseman, H. N. Wiggins, will leave New Zealand shprtly under a retainer to ride for L. H. Hewitt’s stable in India,
The funei'al of the late Mr F. G. Thynne took place locally on Tuesday and was attended by a large and representative cortege. Beautiful floral wreaths covered the casket. Services at All Saints’ Church and the graveside were conducted by the Rev. H. S. Kenney. The pallbearers were Messrs H., M., N., and A. Robinson, W. Symons and A. E. Dunn.
