FOXTON DORCAS SOCIETY.
A meeting of the Ddrcas Society was held in All Saints schoolroom on Monday afternoon. There were present Rev. H. S. Kenney (in the chair), Mesdames Moore, Proctor, Barron, McDonald, the Rev. McDonald and the secretary (Mrs F. Mason).
Mrs Proctor reported that for A the last two months 18 parcels had been sent out- and twelve received. The Society desires to thank the following donors of parcels:—Mesdames Bennett, Baird, Christie, R. Moore (2), G. Fraser, R. Robinson, F. C. Raikes, F. A. Mason, Mss Allan and two anonymous donors. The Society desires to make it clearly understood tbat men passing through Foxton cannot be given assistance from the Society’s funds as the Society is for assisting local cases of distress only.
