TOWN HALL TALKIES.
Giving a great performance as a Portuguese fisherman on the tuna grounds of the Pacific Coast, Edward G. Robinson stars in “Tiger Shark,” the leading feature at the Town Hall to-morrow evening. The thrilling story tells of great friendship of two fishing men, eventually betrayed by one and the awful revenge taken. Scenes of the deep sea fishing grounds and the “tiger sharks abound in thrills with,,‘the action at top speed throughout the picture. Supporting the star . are Richard Alien, Zita Johann, and Leila Bennett. Short subjects are “Then Came the Yawn” (Novelty), “To-day in Berlin” (Travel) and “Love Thv Neighbour” (comedy). Distinctly in a class by itself as regards motion picture entertainment and possessing a story so universally appealing that it is impossible to predict anything but outstanding success for. it, “Lady For A Day." the Columbia super-pro-duction, starring May Robson with Wan, n William, screen's on Friday and Saturday next. “Lady-For A Day” is like a fantastic fairy tale, yet it is real and human.; .Its appealing humour and touching dramatic scenes malke the laughs and tears blend wholesomely with an emotionally agitating effect.that is at once overpowering and heartwarming. A revelation to picture audiences will be the magnificent performance of May ■ Robson as “Apple Annie.” The complete cast, from the star down deserves "the highest praise for matchless, inspired performances.
