METHODIST LADIES’ SOCIAL GUILD.
The monthly meeting of the Methodist Ladies’ Social Guild was held on Thursday afternoon at the residence of Mrs H. Berry, Thynne Street. Mrs McDonald (President) presided over the gathering, there being a large number of ladies and visitors pi’esent. Mention was made of the fact that two of - the Guild members were absent through sickness and a motion was, carried that letters be sent them wishing both a speedy recovery.
After the usual business had been transacted an enjoyable competition was heartily entered into, Mrs A. Hobbs, of Oroua Downs, proving the winner.
During the afternoon two items were rendered by Mrs J. F. Riches and these were greatly appreciated.
A delicious afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses, Mesdames IL Berry and J. Chrvstall. The afternoon was concluded with the pronouncing of the Benediction by Mrs McDonald.
