FOXTON FIRE BRIGADE FOOTBALL CLUB
EUCHRE AND DANCE. The weekly euchre and dance, organised by the members of the Foxton Fire Brigade Football Club, was held' in the Town Hall supper room last evening. There was an excellent attendance and all present had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The results of the euchre were as follows: Ladies: Mrs Fuller 1; Mrs Ranpi 2; Mrs Alexander 3. Gents: Mr W. D. Neville, Mi* E. Bills and Mr K. McGregor tied for Ist. The music for the dancing was supplied by Messrs T. Carter and Nicholson. The Luekv Gay Gordons were won. bv Mr B. Everton and Mrs W. D. Neville. During the evening the following contributed greatly appreciated items: Songs by Misses E. Hirini and E. Ellers and Messrs Paul and Williams. These items were rendered with steel guitar accompaniment and were very much enjoyed. An amusing item was a haka by Air T. Garter and party. A Monte Carlo was won. by Air W. Neville and Miss I. Baker. Owing to the dance on Monday next the euchre and dance will be held on Tuesday, 23rd.
