Communication iy.nn the Invercargill, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Wanganui City Councils concerning the conditions under which pictures are screened on Christinas Day and Good Friday, were read at last night’s meeting of the Palmerston North City Council, and it was decided that the council agree to permit pietui*es to be exhibited on Christmas Day from 7 p.m. provided: the programme is first submitted to and approved by a special committee, and that in future permission to show pictures on Good Friday be not granted.
