There was a good attendance of school children (for whom the lecture is specially intended) and a fair sprinkling of adults, all of whom must have been charmed with the beautiful beach scenes depicted on- the screen, andl the interesting historical and geographical information in regard to each given by the lecturer. All the beaches on the east-and west coast of both islands were depicted and their specially attractive features and historical associations fully described. Quite a large number of natural history scenes were also shown. In concluding his interesting lecture Mr Foston passed on to the children the following' motto for their guidance in life:—“Good, Better, Best; never lot it rest till Good becomes Better and Better becomes Best.”
