WANDERING STOCK ON THE DECREASE.
Commenting on the wandering sto'ck trouble at last night’s Borough Council meeting, Cr. R. JThompson said that it appeared from the poundkeeper’s report as if the stock owners were behaving themselves.
Tim Clerk said that a new ranger had been appointed but bad since left the job for other employment. The Mayor said that there was a decided improvement.
The poundkeeper’s report stated that during the month of September one head of stock was impounded and 1/- driving fee collected.
