ROAD CYCLE RACING.
Much interest was created in Main Street last evening l in connection with the ten lap road cycle race held under the auspices of the Foxton Amateur Cycling- Club. The results were as follows: — J. Purcell (75 sees.) 1 W. Neville (40 secs.) 2 J. D. Purcell (75 sees.) 3 Also started: J. Preston (scr.), L. Bloomfield (95 secs.), King (150 secs.). The fastest time was registered by W., Neville who covered the distance in 31 minutes 21 1/5 seconds.
