FOURTH TEST MATCH,
Australia’s hopes of retaining a hold on the “Ashes” by winning the fourth cricket Test match were dashed yesterday, at Brisbane, when the side was dismissed in the seenod innings for the poor score of 175 runs. Requiring 160 runs to win the coveted “Ashes” England opened their second innings at 2.25 o’clock, and at stumps had scored 107 for the loss of two wickets. Australia’s first innings totalled 340 and the second 175. England knocked up 356 in their first innings and had scored 107 for two wickets last night.
