ST. PATRICK’S BALL.

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. On Thursday evening a very successful St. Patrick’s Ball was hold in the Town Hall which was prettily decorated for the occasion with multi-coloured streamers. Many visitors were present from the surrounding districts and a most enjoyable time was spent. The supper-room was also tastefully decorated with streamers and ihe supper arrangements, which were in the capable hands of an energetic committee, left nothing to be desired. Excellent music was supplied by Larkin’s orchestra, extras being played by Mrs. Bowden, Miss Utikn and Messrs J. Rikiliana and J. Newton. The duties of M.C. were in the capable hands of 'Mr. M. E. Perreau. During the evening a Monte Carlo dance, was won by Mr. Richards and Miss V. Wilson, of Levin. Amongst those present were: — Mesdamcs IV. IT. (Smith (Moutoa) who wore bin elk ring velvet; S.
