RETURN MATCH WITH SHANNON. The Shannon Golf Club played a return match with the local club on the Herrington links on Saturday afternoon in ideal yveather. Shannon again carried off the honours, although several of the local players were unable to take part in the game. At the conclusion Mr. Jones, on behalf of the visitors, thanked the local club for the pleasant time spent and the hospitality accorded. Mr. A. P. Easton, in the unavoidable absence of the president (Mr. Bergin), said it yvas always a pleasure to meet the Shannon Club. He regretted the unavoidable absence of several of the local players.
