TOWN HALL. A new Paramount star in the person of Jack Luden plays the head in “Shootin’ Irons,” at the Town Hall on Wednesday. Richard Allen Gates’ story is one of the cattle country. Luden is introduced as a young rancher who, while on his way across country with a herd of horses, finds a pretty girl and her destitute father encamped at his water hole. Her hurriedly warns her of the danger from stampeding animals, and succeeds in getting them out of harm’s way, just a minute before the horses charge down to the water. It is a case of love at first sight, and the complications which ensue make an exciting picture. Also “Nifty Nags” (Comedy), News and Scenic, Usual prices. Katherine Newlin Burt’s novel “Body and Soul,” has been filmed and will screen on Friday with a cast headed by Lionel Barrymore and Aileen Pringle. Usual prices.
