The spectacle of M. Parry Thomas roaring round Brooklands at two miles a minute hour after hour in a successful endeavour to restore the records won by France, thrilled hundreds. After six hours he left the car considerably fatigued, having broken three records —500 miles by five seconds, 1500) kilometres by six seconds, and also the three hours’ record by a margin of seconds.
