The Wharf. —We understand that the sum of £15,000 has been placed upon the Estimates for the purpose of carrying out the the line'and wharf extension at Foxton. That the works are a crying necessity the Government themselves admit and we trust the House will pass the vote, and that the contracts will soon beln progress. 1 More Immigrants. —The ship Hurnnui arrived at Lyttelton from London on Saturday lasi, bringing 250 immigrants. The Are!husa also I arrived at Wellington from the same port, bringing an addition of 372 to the population of the colony. M e hear that a small number of the latter are to be sent to Foxton by the Stormhird.
