GENERAL BOOTH A PROHIBITIONIST.
Christchurch, Yesterday.
Strong statements have been made by the liquor party to the effect that General Booth was not a No-License man, the Salvation army has decided to hold a NoLicense meeting to-morrow night to refute the statements in regard to General Booth’s attitude. The Army will also print and circulate ten thousand copies of an article by Commissioner M'Kie, wherein authoritative statements by General Booth are quoted to show that he is a Prohibitionist.
