ROYAL PICTURE COMPANY. To-Night.

With popular films and popular prices, the Royal Picture Company drew another good audience at the Opera House, Feilding last evening. This company which has permanent establishments in each of the lour cities, possesses the largest set of films in New Zealand, and is able therefore to supply on each visit to Foxton an entirely new and highly diversified programme. This evening’s programme will contain many interesting films. Chief is the depiction of the Marathon Race. Various details of this noted athletic event, accounts of which have already reached the colony, are clearly shown, and the great concluding struggle for supremacy raises the audience to excitement and enthusiasm. Another item, notable for its scenic beauty, as well as for its general interest, is “ Winter in Switzerland.” Of the same class is the “Imperial Canal, China.” Other films are, “Tricksy the Princess,” “ Mr and Mrs Thomas and Baby ” ; a tragic story of love and hate, entitled the “ Goatherd”; a coloured scene from Roman history, entitled the “Vestal,” and comic items, “ The Woman Who Wasn’t,” and the “ Wedding Couple Dodging the Camera,” and the last being a ludicrous traversy of what an American heiress wedding a British aristocrat might have to go through from the Yankee reporters and camera fiends.
