We are informed that as a result of the jam manufacturers raising the price of that commodity, there will be a rise in the retail price as from Monday next. The many frienes of Mrs M. A. White will regret to learn that she is lying in a very precarious condition and very little hope is held out for her recovery.
There was a crowded attendance at the Methodist social in Gardner’s shed, Moutoa last night. The Rev. P. J. Mairs presided. A most enjoyable time was spent. Report crowded out.
