Lyle has notified the Crown Prosecutor that he intends to ask for an adjournment of Deemiilg's trial, on the grounds that he is unable to prepare the defence by Monday, and also that owing to the state of public feeling the accused is unlikely to obtain an impartial trial just now. ( Deeming alleges that a warder in Albany Gaol shaved off his moustache, and says he invented the glass story in order to shield that official. — Press Association.
