T>UBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with notice advertised, the Council at a meeting lield on Thursday, sth August, 1920, resolved: — "That the Awatore County Council <lo make and levy a uniform General Hate m 'accordance with the Counties Act, 1908, the Rating Act, 1908, and amendments thereto of one penny and one-fourth oCa penny (IJd) in the pound upon the unimproved value, and a General Hospital Rate on the capital value of one-third of one penny (l-3d) in the pound on all ratable properties as appearing on the Valua_ tion Roll of the respective Ridings of th-3 said County now in force for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1920, and ending on 31st day «>f March, j 921, aud that such rate shall become due and payable in one sum on the 21st day of August, 1920, or fourfcdon days after it is struck, .also that the Special Rate levied over the special rating area, Upton Downs, of thirteen-fourteenths- of a penny (13-14ths) in the pound be made payable in two instalments, vis., Ist day of September, J920, and Ist day of March, 1921."
