LONDON, Aug. 10. The Government has invited Signor Ramaciotti to. address the principal Italian Chambers of Commerce on Australian resources and industries. Ramaciotti will also attend a meeting of the Council of the British Chamber of Commerce of Italy at Leghorn in October.

A Moscow wireless message states that Sylvia Pankhurst passed through Peti-ograd to attend the Communist Congress. She said that England's efforts to strangle the Soviet were doomed to failure, owing to the intelligent attitude of the British workers.

NEW YORK, Aug. 10. A three billion bushel corn' crop for the third time in the history of the- United States is estimated by the Department of Agriculture. August is a critical month for the great corn belt in the Middle States, but there has been an improvement in all States except Illinois. "

Spring wheat is adversely affected by July rust, and the production has been reduced by 29,000,000 bushels to a total of 262,000,000. The preliminary estimate of winter wheat has increased by 15,000,000 bushels, making a total winter and spring crop of 795,000,000 bushels. Five captured German warships arrived to-day.
