INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION

EXPOSITION ON LARGE SCALE

[FROM OtJR CORRESPONDENT.]

CHRISTCHURCH, Aug.

At a meeting of the Executive of the Canterbury Industrial Assoeiartion, held last night, it was announced that the New Zealand Industrial Association's committee had decided that tin© first New Zealand exhibition on a large scale held under the auspices of the association should be held at Christchurch.

Mr J. A. Frostick said that the committee had decided that when a big exhibition was held in a centre (say Christchurch) the local association would have control of its territory for two seasons, so that in the case of Canterbury the exhibition or portions of it would be held in other pa,rts of the district, the We'io Coast, Nelson, and Maryborough. J 'he committee had been unanimous that these exhibitions should be followed by propaganda, work, especially by meetings and lectures. For the subsidiary exhibitions it was suggested-that the New Zealand Manufacturers' Association should provide tents or. other means of housing the exhibits.
