JULY FIGURES

Slightly less rain fell in Marlborough last month than was recorded during July of the previous year,.as the following results to hand show:—

At the Marlborough College' the rainfall last month was 145 points on 6 days, the heaviest fall occurring on July 10th, when 63 points were in the gauge. The total rainfall at the Delta Station during the past month was a little'above the Blenheim fall, the amount registered Tbeing 1.69 inches, which was distributed as follows:— July 9th, 50 points; 10th, 27 points; 11th, 74 points; 12th, 8 points; 15th, 7 points;: 22nd, 3 points. In July, 1919, a total of 2.41 inches were recorded.

At Thn,ara there fell last month, on four days, 2.02 inches. In July, 1919, 2.20* inches descended on 7 days. The total at the station for the year to the end of July, 1920, is 24.02 inches. :

Spring Creek reports a total rainfalj for last month of 168 points, distributed over 5 days, the greatest fall. being 93 points on the 10th. The Hartley Hills record shows the total rainfall for the month just passed to be 100 points, : as compared with 170 points during the corresponding period of 1919. The rainfall at Ward for the month of July was 2.56 inches, m. Rain fell on 6 days, the maximum fall being 87 paints on July 10th. For the corresponding month last year, 2.60 inches were registered.
