WEDDING
HOLDAWAY—McFADDEN
.- On Wednesday, July 7th, at AVesley Church, Blenheim, the marriage took place *of Ethel Margaret, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Me* adden, of Blenheim, to Alan Ernest, second son of Mr and Mrs Henry Holdaway, of Nelson. The" Rev. Wm. Greenslade officiated. The bride was attired in a dainty Avhste voile gown trimmed with hand-made insertion and lace, and a. bi'oad. fringed, crepe de chine sash. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of Winter roses and white oforya:inthemums with maidenhair fern. Miss Freda McFadden attended her sister, and wore a white pinafore dress with blue and black embroidered trimmings, and a black crepe de chine hat. Her bouquet was composed of pink roses, geraniums and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was supported by his brother, Mr Edward Holdaway, of Nelson. _ A large number of guests were received by the bride's parents at the Loloma in the afternoon. The happy couple left later, for their future home 'at Braeburn, Nelson; the bride's travelling costume being a black and whito check, with cream facings, and an emerald green hat.
