Xiie-it.-Colonel H. J. Robinson, commanding the 12th Nelson and MaH'oorough Regiment, has asked to be relieved of his command and transferred to the, Reserve of Officers, as "from Jiine Ist; Ho has had over Ijliir,ty~tvvcvyears 1 continuous commissioned service in Cadets, Volunteers, Sand Territorials, and has commanded •tlio 12th Regiment for the last three yeairs. ..,, ..;.,;•> ■;
The death loccurred at Napier Hospital, on July 2nd, of a. woll-kriown and highly respected resident of Hastings, in the person of Mrs % Ivy May (Queenie) Oonirdon, wife of Mr A. B. Congdtm, formerly of Blenheim, and third daughter of Mr and Mrs J. F. Sturm, of Hastings. Tho deceased lady had been suffering for some time past, but she bore up patiently through her illness, and endeared herself to £.11 with whom she came in contact. Much sincere sympathy will be expressed towards her husband and young child, and relatives.
