METHODIST CHURCH
CIRCUIT QUARTERLY MEETING.
The circuit quarterly meeting was held jii the church parlor on Wednesday evening. The liev. W. Greenslaae (in the chair). Re\> H. Ryan and a good attendance of officials were present. The -chairman reported that the rr.iHibei- of members was the same as last quarter, but indicated that the roll would increase by accretions from the Bible classes and Endeavor kocxeties who in; reality belonged to the Church, though not on the official roll.
The-, financial statement presented by the circuit stewards was of a,. gratifying character, and left a satisfactory balance on hand. Reference was made to the wonderful response made to the appeal on behalf of -home and Foreign Missions. Letters of condolence and v sympathy were ordered to be pent to various members who have, been bereaved and some of whom are suffering from continued sickness. it was; reported that the Rev Val Ingge would be in the ebcuit from October 31st to Nov. IDch, and it was decided to invite- the Missioner to preach the Sunday-school annicfthe'v™ 118 °n the first £™d^ Matters affecting the visit of the Ijev. C. H. A resolution was presented to the meeting from a, committee appointed to_consider the. question of engaging: n Deaconess to . work in the; circuitT to call applications through the conl ncxional- paper and to deal with the matter. The motion was unanimously carried. .
