Tho fighting against the tribesmen in Mesopotamia continues. The indications are that the hot weather will see a recrudescence of activity. - Things' are-quiet.,'on the Euphrates, where the tribes were severely handled by bur troops, helped *by aeroplanes. There is a general feeling of insecurity. • The latest reports '■■ from* Bagdad state that a train was derailed by tribesmen between 'Sharza and B^iji, apparently' at the instigation .of Sharifiah, the Governor of Syria. 'Several1 lives! were lost. Attacks on convoys > are occurring •in the same district. Hostilities between two opposingl tribes are reported.
